This card was inspired by a similar card that I saw at the Stampin' Up! Convention in July.  I loved the softness and retro feel of the card so I knew that I would try to reproduce it.  The star of the card is a piece of Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper.  

Using a Sponge Dauber & my Blushing Bride Ink Pad, I sponged ink on the rose until it was the color I wanted.  In addition, I sponge some random spots with the same ink.  Of course, I stamped a few images from Butterfly Basics on the card using stamped off Mint Macron.  

The sentiment is also from the Butterfly Basics Stamp Set and is also sponged with Mint Macron Ink.  If you look closely, you can can also spot a piece of the delicious Mint Macron 1" Dotted Lace Trim peeking out.

I just couldn't resist some Silver Metallic Thread behind my sentiment and Metallic Foil Doilie. That strip of dap behind the sentiment is just the revers side of the rose.  Gorgeous paper!!
